On 23rd January, 2017 in the Liberator Hall in the Warsaw Rising Museum, the premier of a unique comic book “Bradl” was held. “Bradl” tells about Kazimierz Leski, a participant of Warsaw Uprising, genius engineer and super agent. It was my pleasure to chair this meeting and also to speak about historical comics and the importance of popular culture in telling of the history. I talked with Tobiasz Piątkowski and Marek Oleksicki, the authors of "Bradl", about the creation process of the comic book and what was so special in Kazimierz Leski, and with Professor Alexandra Richie, the author of the introduction to the book, about the historical background. |
