In the last theme issue of „Rzeczpospolita. Plus Minus”, in Artur Bartkiewicz’s article „Milenialsi nie chcą już cyrografów”  [Millenials don't want pacts anymore] I talked about how representatives of Millennials and post-Millennials  change the job market and corporate approach to work with them.

I also talked about what the Generation Z expects, of which most representatives will decide to start their own business and I analyzed why workshops, courses or CSR policy (corporate social responsibility) in this case are much more effective than distant retirement plans.

In other words: what it means for corporations that for workers entering the market passion and understanding are more important than an employment contract for an indefinite period.

On Saturday, 9th June it was the public opening ceremony of NordArt 2018, the jubilee edition of one of the largest international exhibitions of contemporary art in Europe! 

5.000 visitors come for the opening of the exhibition NordArt 2018, and till 7th October  more than 100.000 visitors is expected in this space of the former Carlshütte foundry (22,000 sqm), as well as in the sculpture park (80,000 sqm).

200 selected artists from more than 3000 applications from 105 countries are presenting their artworks in Kunstwerk Carlshütte. We are exhibiting three sculptures, including two brand new sculptures: "Where Fake Was Born (the New Venus of Willendorf)” and „3.0”, as well as „Spirit of Ecstasy” sculpture of Rolls-Royce of natural size,
created by Paweł Wocial, which was presented in ZKM Zentrum fur Kunst und Medien Karlsruhe.

Many prominent representatives of culture, art and diplomacy are present on the pre-opening and they prepare greetings for the ceremony:
Tomáš Jan Podivínský, Ambassador of the Czech Republic to Germany, CHEN Ping, Minister Counsellor of Culture, Embassy of the People's Republic of China in Germany, Klaus Schlie, President of the Schleswig-Holstein Parliament, Hans-Julius und Johanna Ahlmann,  Hosts at the Kunstwerk Carlshütte, and
Wolfgang Gramm, Chief Curator of NordArt. Amog the guests were also Dr. Milan Čoupek, Minister of the Embassy of the Czech Republic, and Christian Ancker Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic.

The exhibition will last 100 days:
from 10th June to 7th October.

I’m happy to announce that again I cooperate with {slow} foundation and co-create the fourth volume of the series The Best Polish Illustrators: TBPI 4 | COMIC BOOK, which will come out in holidays.

Last year I wrote in The Best Polish Illustrators 2 | CONCEPT ART an introduction about history of concept art and about history of this term and I analyzed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt as an example of the technique of concept artists.


In TBPI 4 | COMIC BOOK I have a pleasure to write not only the introductions, but also biographical sketches and extended comments on of all artists (about 35), which names will appear in the album.

In Poland there was nothing like this album!

The starting point was the reaction of internet users to information regarding Tomasz Mackiewicz and Elizabeth Revol - a tragedy on Nanga Parbat.
 
In Artur Bartkiewicz’s article Morze informacji, Himalaje ignorancji  [Sea of Information, the Himalayas of ignorance] I considered  Infocalypse, the flood of a new generation of fake news, which is made possible by technical achievements,  cognitive biases, threats resulting from staying in filter bubbles and lack of instances verifying the authenticity of information available on the internet.

Once again, I pay attention to start internet education in schools or even in preschools nowadays.

Today is the official premiere of the book Żoliborz. Przewodnik kreatywny  [Żoliborz. Creative Guidebook] by Aga Pietrzykowska. I had the pleasure to write an Introduction and I was also responsible for the editing and proofreading.

In the guidebook there are three walks interesting both for children and adults: "Get to know Żoliborz", "Architecture of Modernism" and "Birds and Animals". Each of them allows you to get to know the district from a different side.

​In this creative guidebook there are many games, plays and interesting facts from architecture, art or history, and everything is ilustrated in the unique visual style of Aga Pietrzykowska. She is the author of the cover of my book Narracja w powieści graficznej (Narratology of Graphic Novels: an Introduction).

The publisher of the book Żoliborz. Przewodnik kreatywny: Żoliborz District of Warsaw and Artistic and Educational Foundation "andART".

All the proceeds from the auction went to Anioły Kultury foundation’s project: a Charity project „Summer camp for children from the city of rockets” - summer camp for children from Israeli city Sderot.  Funds are still needed, so it is possible to support the project by paying on foundation's account.

I was talking about the auction in short reportage in the program “Pytanie na Śniadanie”, TVP 1, air date: 19 December.

On 18 December, in the National Ethnographic Museum in Warsaw I had the honor of conducting the First Charity Auction “Artists for children from the city of rockets” organized by Anioły Kultury foundation.

​The auction took place during "Chanukah Concert" organized by the Foundation Chai - Chabad Lubavitch Poland and the Regional Council of the Mazovian Voivodeship, supported by the Ministry of Culture and National Heritage of the Republic of Poland, the National Centre for Culture and the Jewish Social and Cultural Society in Poland (TSKŻ).

For the last two months, I have almost not put news on my website, which does not mean that nothing has happened, just the opposite!
 
At that time, our art collective Wocial-Tuszyńska presented artworks during five important events.
 
Our video „under construction LOOP#3" was presented at the Leap Second Festival in Norwegian Pavilion  during the Inaugural International Autonomous Biennale (OR Cf) at the Research Pavilion in the context of the 57th Venice Biennale, Italy.
 
The same artwork was also shown in Amsterdam during the exhibition 60-60.network in Paleis van Mieris, the Netherlands. A three evening event that runs parallel with the Amsterdam Art Weekend.
 
In addition, there was an urban projection of this video in public space during 60 Seconds Festival & Leap Second Festival at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen. „Under construction LOOP#3" was also presented in Copenhagen during the 13th Night of Culture (Kulturnat) at the French Institute in Denmark.
  
Furthermore, ones again we took a part in Art Market Budapest 2017, the largest art fair in Central and Eastern Europe. This time, our two sculptures could be seen at the stand of the Pharmacy of Art Gallery (Apteka Sztuki)
